| Nearly 8 years ago, we were blessed with our first daughter. We had a deep desire to grow our family, however, what followed was a hard journey in which I experienced three miscarriages at varying stages of pregnancy over the course of 2 years. With each loss we were told it was “just genetics” and that my age (41 at the time) was a likely factor and there was nothing we could do. However, we were not without hope. That’s when, through a series of God-ordained circumstances, I came across the book “Is Your Body Baby Friendly” and I couldn’t put it down. Was reproductive immunology the missing link to our growing family? While we were still in the process of miscarrying, I reached out to Dr. Jubiz’s office. From that first inquiry with Lisa, I felt so heard and cared for. Simultaneously, we opted to genetically test our baby after the miscarriage and the testing confirmed what we knew in our hearts, our baby was perfect; therefore, something must be going on with my body. Armed with this information, we opted to proceed with a consultation with Dr. Jubiz. Our first phone call with him changed everything and our hope was solidified. Dr. Jubiz was thoughtful, understanding, and patient as we asked our questions and shared our concerns. We immediately began following the thorough treatment plan he recommended and I had ongoing lab work and consultations to assess my specific needs. Just over one year after that initial phone call, we conceived our miracle (at the age of 43!). He and his incredible team were with us every step of the way; through the mundane of the testing, to the lows of the emotions that this journey brought, to the joyful celebration of bringing our beautiful baby girl into our arms. We will forever be grateful that God brought Dr. Jubiz alongside our family on this journey. | |
