| My story starts with three easy pregnancies and healthy children. It came as a shock, then, when I had 5 missed miscarriages, with losses ranging from 8 to 18 weeks, many of which happened after heartbeats and normal ultrasounds. The workup was normal. The REI specialists did further testing which was also normal. I dreaded going in for an ultrasound and finding another heart no longer beating. I kept asking myself, what changed? I’m a little older, but my husband and I are pretty much the same. I came to the conclusion that “bad luck” seemed less likely than an acquired disease – autoimmune or clotting disorder. I decided that just getting pregnant again without doing something different didn’t make sense. So I reached out to Dr. Jubiz. In his very extensive workup he found high NK levels and gene mutations associated with clotting. He put me on a med protocol, gave me a green light, and I became pregnant. The seven week pregnancy labs were high positive for ANA, which was previously negative. Dr. Jubiz monitored me closely throughout the pregnancy, encouraging me as each week went by and tweaking medicines, until he finally released me in the third trimester. I gave birth to a beautiful little girl in January! I and am very thankful to Dr. Jubiz and Santrice, Lisa and Robin. | |
