| Before seeing Dr. Jubiz, we were at our it’s end and almost at the brink of giving up that my body is not fit to carry a child. We’ve already lost 3 embryos at this time – 1 untested day 7 blastocyst grade 4DD, and 2 euploid embryos. My husband wanted to try a gestational carrier already but I still wanted 1 more chance to try again. When I emailed Dr. Jubiz’s clinic and got their reply, I quickly accomplished all the forms as I know that there could be a wait list with Dr. Jubiz. The first time we met with Dr. Jubiz, he was confident that he can get to the bottom of our issue and that we can have a baby. We followed all of Dr. Jubiz’ protocol to the letter. And because we live in the Philippines, it wasn’t always easy due to the unavailability of some tests here and the need to get my blood samples to either Reprosource or RFU. After getting the 2nd round of testing, I wasn’t sure we’d get the green light because there were still some markers in my results that were elevated but Dr. Jubiz gave us the green light explaining that he is confident that his next meds for me would be able to address this. On March 26, 2025, we got our first ever positive beta-HCG results! We were in tears the moment we saw the level. On March 28, we got our confirmation and we were overjoyed! April 1, I bled and found out that I had a subchorionic hemorrhage and only 1 of our transferred embryos survived but its location wasn’t ideal as it is close to the opening of my right fallopian tube. It was an angular pregnancy with a possibility of turning into a cornual pregnancy, a kind of ectopic pregnancy. We were devastated and we thought that the pregnancy was doomed but Dr. Jubiz cheered us on. Week on week, we were monitoring the location of the sac. Some weeks we got good results as it moved away from the opening and some weeks we would be so sad when it moved a little closer. But never did Dr. Jubiz waver, he would always remind us that it is not yet the end and that things could still improve in the next few scans and they eventually did until an ectopic pregnancy was ruled out. Our next challenge was that a placenta lobe was seen in my ultrasound and my baby wasn’t gaining so much weight. The doctors in our country were worried about his weight gain but Dr. Jubiz reassured us that as long as we’re above the 10th percentile, we’re ok. Dr. Jubiz was with us during our pregnancy every step of the way. When we were about to graduate from his care, it was bittersweet and we told him that we’d miss him. His last advice to us was to pick a good and strong name for our little baby boy who defied all odds and reached the finish line, so we named him Josè (same as his dad’s first name, which meant God multiplies) Luca (which means bringer of light) Andreas (which means manly or a warrior). We are eternally grateful to Dr. Jubiz for helping make our dream of having a child into a reality. | |
